At MBO Safety Services, we are deeply committed to ensuring workplace safety and providing essential training for those at risk of asbestos exposure. As Global Asbestos Awareness Week (GAAW) takes place from April 1st to April 7th, we stand alongside health organisations and industry leaders in advocating for stronger awareness and safer practices.
Why Asbestos Awareness Matters
Although asbestos was banned in the UK in 1999, it still exists in over 1.5 million buildings, posing a significant risk to tradespeople, maintenance workers, and professionals in various industries. Exposure to asbestos can lead to mesothelioma, lung cancer, and asbestosis, illnesses that are preventable through proper education and precautions.
At MBO Safety Services, we believe that education is the first line of defence against asbestos-related diseases. By equipping workers with the knowledge and training they need, we help protect lives and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
UKATA Asbestos Awareness Training – Stay Safe, Stay Compliant
As part of Global Asbestos Awareness Week, we encourage businesses and individuals to take proactive steps in learning about asbestos risks. Our UKATA-approved Asbestos Awareness training courses are designed to ensure compliance with Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 while providing crucial knowledge for those working in environments with potential asbestos exposure.
