New or Renewing your CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card

The CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card, confirms that you are a skilled worker in your role and who can work safely on Construction sites within the Construction Industry. Workers you have achieved a Construction related NVQ/SVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) or completed an Apprenticeship with the right qualifications and have passed the CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Test, you can apply for the CSCS Blue Skilled Worker card.

Apply for a CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card

To apply for a new or you need to renew your CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card, please complete the following steps:

STEP 1. Complete your Construction related NVQ/SVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) or have ready available NVQ/SVQ Level 2 Certification.                        

STEP 2. If your CITB Health Safety & Environment (HS&E) Test is not within the last 2 years, book your CITB test.

STEP 3. Once you have completed STEP 1 & 2, you can apply for your CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card.

Validation of a CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card

• The CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card is valid for five years.
• Upon expiry of the CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card, you must pass the CITB Health Safety & Environment (HS&E) Test again when applying for a new card.
