CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card

The CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card is intended for individuals who have gained on the job experience. It is a temporary Construction Site card designed for individuals who are working towards an approved qualification in their trade.

Apply for a CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card

To apply for your CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card, please complete the following steps:

STEP 1. Have at least one year on the job experience within the past three years of your trade.

STEP 2. Obtain evidence of your enrolment of your qualification or a training programme.                       

STEP 3. Book your CITB Health Safety & Environment (HS&E) Test.

STEP 4. Once you have completed STEP 1, 2 & 3, you can apply for your CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card.

Validation of a CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card

• The CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card is valid for one year.
• Individuals are expected to complete their qualification before the card expires.
• Upon expiry of the CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card, your qualification must be one that leads to eligibility for a Skilled CSCS Card.
• The CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card cannot be renewed.
