We recommend that this course is renewed every 5 years in line with IPAF Licence requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course duration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4 hours<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Introduction \u2013 An overview of the course and discussion of attendees\u2019 current level of knowledge.<br \/>\n\u2022 Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) \u2013 An overview of the key Health and Safety Regulations to which companies in the UK need to comply, together with the employer\u2019s and employee\u2019s legal responsibilities.<br \/>\n\u2022 MEWPs and Harnesses \u2013 An explanation of the various types of MEWPs together with an overview of harnesses available.<br \/>\n\u2022 Hierarchy \u2013 The hierarchy of measures to take to protect against falls and avoid hazards.<br \/>\n\u2022 Choices \u2013 Making the correct selection of harness suitable to the job.<br \/>\n\u2022 Testing and Checking \u2013 An outline of testing undertaken by manufacturers and the correct usage of equipment.
