IPAF licence showing the category or categories of MEWP on which they have been trained. Licences are valid for 5 years and will require renewal before expiration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course duration <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>6 hours<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Introduction \u2013 An overview of the course and discussion of attendees\u2019 current level of knowledge.<br \/>\n\u2022 Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) \u2013 An overview of the key Health and Safety Regulations to which companies in the UK need to comply, together with the employer\u2019s and employee\u2019s legal responsibilities.<br \/>\n\u2022 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) \u2013 The use of suitable PPE.<br \/>\n\u2022 Work at Height \u2013 Information on the definition and regulations surrounding Work at Height together with an outline of employer\u2019s and employee\u2019s responsibilities.<br \/>\n\u2022 Categories of MEWPs \u2013 Types of Scissor Lifts together with an explanation of other MEWPs categories.<br \/>\n\u2022 Structure \u2013 Information on the main structural parts of Scissor Lifts and other categories of MEWPs.<br \/>\n\u2022 Pre-use Inspection \u2013 The importance of carrying out pre-use checks and how to set up equipment safely, taking into account ground\/site conditions and the general surroundings.<br \/>\n\u2022 Testing and Inspection \u2013 How to test that equipment is set up correctly and the importance of maintaining records from inspections carried out.<br \/>\n\u2022 Safe Operating Methods \u2013 The importance of safety requirements and the completion of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).<br \/>\n\u2022 Questions and Answers \u2013 Time for attendees to clarify and query any of the points raised in the course plus course questionnaire to test attendees\u2019 knowledge.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>Training<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">MBO Safety Services Limited has a strong team of specialist trainers who develop and deliver bespoke courses, all tailored to your business\u2019s health and safety requirements.<br \/>\nOur courses can be held at our training facility, or at a location of your choice.<br \/>\n<\/span><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>Multiple UK Locations<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #464646;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">Each of our training venues have been carefully selected to ensure that delegates are provided with a comfortable learning environment.
