Supporting Global Asbestos Awareness Week
As we celebrate our 18‑year milestone, we’re also proud to highlight our ongoing commitment to raising awareness around one of the most persistent workplace health risks: asbestos exposure.
Each year, Global Asbestos Awareness Week (1–7 April) shines a spotlight on the dangers of asbestos and the importance of proper training, safe working practices, and early recognition of risks. Despite being banned in the UK, asbestos remains present in many older buildings — meaning awareness and education are still absolutely essential.
At MBO, we are accredited to deliver UKATA Asbestos Awareness training, ensuring workers, supervisors, and duty holders understand:
- Where asbestos may be found
- How to recognise potential risks
- What to do (and what not to do) if asbestos is suspected
- Legal responsibilities under current UK regulations
This training is available in Birmingham, Manchester, Oswestry, and at customer sites nationwide, helping organisations stay compliant and keep their teams safe.
