NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is one of the UK’s most popular health and safety qualifications. It is essential for anybody working in or looking to work in the field of health and safety and for individuals who are looking to build upon their knowledge and skills to take their career forward. It provides an excellent foundation in occupational safety and health for working in all types of organisations and industries. It is designed for managers, supervisors and employees who have health and safety responsibilities and will prepare you with all you need to know about how to manage workplace risks effectively.

The NEBOSH qualification is recognised by professional membership bodies such as the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM). The NEBOSH Certificate is widely respected by employers and meets the requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) and Associate Membership of IIRSM (AIIRSM).

Delegates 

This course is Ideal for managers, supervisors, or anybody with health and safety management responsibilities from all types of organisations and perfect for those embarking on a health and safety career. 

Certificate 

Certification will be awarded by NEBOSH on successful completion of each individual unit. However, to gain the full certificate all units must be successfully completed. 

Course duration 

10 days with an optional revision day is also available.

Examination and assessments 

NG1 it is a digital assessment. Learners will have 24 hours to access, complete and submit their paper starting from 11am (UK time) on the examination date. 

NG2 is a practical unit where with resources you produce a workplace risk assessment, where you have  recognised a range of common hazards, evaluated risks and (taking account of current controls), recommending further control measures and planning actions. 

The NG2 assessment is based on your workplace using the template provided by NEBOSH to assess risks and control measures. 

In order to complete the qualification, you must achieve a pass in both units within 5 years.

Element 11 - Electricity 

Questions and Answers – Time for attendees to clarify and query any of the points raised in the course and a course questionnaire to test attendees’ knowledge.
