Delegates
Minimum of 6 delegates, maximum of 12.
This course is designed for anyone who provides, maintains and uses equipment in the workplace, from ladders to photocopiers to company cars.
Certificate
Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance. We recommend that this course is renewed every three years.

Overview
• Introduction – An overview of the course and discussion of attendees’ current level of knowledge.
• What is PUWER? – Aims of the legislation.
• What is covered by PUWER and to whom does it apply? – Explains the equipment that is and is not covered by the regulations and the persons to whom the legislation applies.
• Employer’s Responsibilities – What employers need to do to ensure they are complying with the regulations.
• Safe use of Specific Machinery – An in depth safety briefing on specific machinery. We will adapt the course to suit the machinery that you have in your company e.g. spindle moulders, circular saws, hand-fed planers, band saws.
• Video ‘Health and Safety in the Woodworking Industry’ – Reiterates and strengthens the points made in the first part of the course.
• Summary – A brief overview of important points to remember.
• Questions and Answers – Time for attendees to clarify and query any of the points raised in the course plus a course questionnaire to test attendees’ knowledge.
